Our Team

Hi! I’m Dr. Alice Pickering

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist and certified clinical trauma specialist who believes that prioritizing your mental health should be a non-negotiable. I approach therapy from a trauma informed and client centered perspective. It may be helpful to know a bit about me should you decide you’d like for us to work together, so let me share!

I’ve worked with a wide array of mental health concerns from my varied clinical experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I’ve also taught undergraduate college courses at a local university. Whenever I work with a client or lead a workshop, I like to combine my teaching, clinical, training, and personal experiences to help you improve your mental health and emotional well being.

I own a private practice (learn more here) where I treat issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationships. I have a passion for serving women and mothers through various life stages and I specialize in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Through my personal experience of motherhood, I became aware of the challenges that accompany such a journey long before it even starts. I also became aware of the limited focus on maternal mental health before, during, and after pregnancy. I’m a mother to 2 little girls who are 17 months apart (yikes!) and a recovering “angry mom” because two under 2 can definitely push you over the edge most days.

I also have a passion for serving first responders and their families, especially in a time where they may be growing their family. I know first responder culture all too well and the unique challenges that present themselves when you’re a first responder family - my husband has served as a firefighter paramedic for 9 years (and counting). My ultimate hope is to foster a community of happy and healthy individuals and families who can make a difference in their homes and ultimately, the world. I look forward to the opportunity to work together; I don’t take what I do for granted and acknowledge the privilege of walking alongside you during life’s most vulnerable moments.

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER

Diane Wagner, LCSW

Diane is a wife, mother of 4, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona and Florida. She approaches therapy from a trauma informed and cognitive behavioral perspective. She has extensive experience with a wide variety of mental health concerns among individuals and families in the inpatient, outpatient, and private practice setting. She brings a warm and empathic understanding to all of her interactions and she places great value on the input of her clients throughout their healing and growth process.

Diane is not afraid of changing the course of treatment or shifting gears - wellness is an ever-changing journey that looks different for each person. She sees you as the specialist in your life, using a collaborative process and holistic tools to support you toward the peace and healing you seek. She believes that your mental and emotional well-being is the foundation that serves you in life. Although life may seem uneasy right now, addressing your needs should not be seen as a selfish act, but rather a path to self-preservation. Reaching out for support is not always easy and getting the help you desire is her highest priority.

Having fun is an essential part of living! Diane loves exploring the outdoors, a long beach day, reading, meditation, homeschooling and free play with her kids, and spending quality time with her husband.

*Diane is licensed to offer therapy in AZ and FL.
